of this new program is:
SNIPER and Ballistics
Program
To install CD: Put the Dead On Installation CD in
your CD-ROM drive (this is usually the D: drive). If you have the Auto-Run
feature of Windows turned on, then the software will start itself at this
point. Otherwise...Choose the Run item from the Windows 95, 98, 2000, or NT
4.0 Start menu. Type the letter of your CD Drive and :\Setup and press Enter.
The above steps will cause the Installation program to appear. Now, just follow
the simple on-screen instructions which will guide you through the entire
installation process. Program will be installed in Program Files. The program
requires approx. 6MB of disk space.
IRON SIGHT INSTRUCTIONS:
- Place rifle in vice or other lock down device
- Load Ballistics Program and go to targets.
- Print out the "Iron Sight" target.
- Go to Bullet manufacturer page.
- Select proper caliber and click "run calculations."
- Input the requested data.
- When the trajectory chart appears click "Print".
- Mount "Iron Sight" target EXACTLY 3 feet
from the end of the barrel.
- Insert the correct caliber laser bullet into the
chamber and close the bolt.
- Moving the target or the rifle, align the laser
dot to the zero line and vertical line on the target.
- ELEVATION ADJUSTMENT:
- Using the Elevation measurement from the ballistics
chart for 1 yard, you can now look through the iron sight and adjust
the rear or front sight the appropriate amount above the dot.
- Once this is done, re-check to be sure the
laser dot is still on "zero" and check the sights again and
reset if necessary.
WINDAGE TIPS:
- Once you have the elevation set, move the target
to a distance of about 15 yards or whatever distance lets the laser
dot be visible above the tip on the front sight.
- When looking through the sights, if the laser
dot is not in line with the front sight, move accordingly.
- Eject the laser bullet from the rifle.
- The rifle is now sighted in at 100 yards.
SCOPE ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS
- Load Ballistics Program onto your computer.
- After loading program, click to print a target.
- After printing target close target selection page
and choose continue.
- Select Manufactures bullet then choose the
correct caliber from the list provided.
- Click "run calculations".
- Input the requested data.
- If Barometric Pressure is unknown, click on the
FLASHING barometric and enter the elevation.
- When the trajectory chart appears click "Print".
- Place rifle in vice or other lock down device.
- Place printed target 10 yards from the end
of rifle barrel.
- Put laser bullet into chamber and close bolt.
(Laser will turn on automatically).
- Bring scope crosshairs into center of laser
dot. (Centering on target is not necessary)
- Center the laser dot on the zero line and vertical
line of the scope target.
- Using the measurement from the trajectory chart,
elevate the crosshairs the appropriate amount. NOTE: A negative
measurement (ex. -22) means RAISING the crosshairs, not lowering them.
- Eject laser bullet from rifle.
